Even if Dyslexia reveals itself in presence of cognitive adequacy and in absence of neurological and sensory deficits, can be a major limitation for some school activities, training, work and daily life. This disorder is caused by a neurobiological alteration (malfunction in the action of some groups of cells responsible for the recognition of letters-words and their meanings) and concerns the ability to read and write. Some years ago, dyslexia was an invisible disorder, those people who suffered from it hid their condition and despite their cognitive abilities and their efforts, they were labeled as slow and listless. This situation determined the early release of dyslexics from school and training courses and the consequent difficulty to take part in the labor market. Today dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia and the dysorthography are called “specific learning disorders”, "DSA".

Since this specific disorder causes a significant and negative impact on school, work and everyday adaptation, a long term education that involves experts in issues concerning dyslexia is necessary; an educational and teaching research, able to collaborate with the scientific one, that is both updated about the scientific results and that can apply them in everyday school, educational and professional settings; training programs that adopt professional action of teachers and trainers expert in this field, that support dyslexic people in their learning process.

Our international partnership, made up of organizations and associations operating in various capacities, private and institutional, in VET, is aimed to "open the doors" of the training system to DSA people, providing them the possibility of a specific education to increase their competitiveness within the labour market.Through the collaboration between member countries with different languages, cultures and educational systems, it will be possible to develop and disseminate a learning protocol for the positive integration of dyslexic people in the vocational training systems, allowing a community mobility.

The implementation of this Protocol and consequent dissemination, will allow training institutions to share a management practice within their systems, and give to dyslexic people the possibility to update their competence framework during their life.
